Every rollup has a native bridge to its settlement layer (typically Ethereum) that is built into the architecture and is how assets move in and out. Cross-chain bridges to other ecosystems are optional and depend on the application: they expand liquidity and reach, but add trust assumptions and attack surface. Bridge exploits have historically been among the largest sources of losses in crypto, so bridge selection and auditing deserve real diligence.
