Conduit Monthly Recap: August 2025

It’s been a bullish month: U.S. regulators have provided clarity for several onchain business models, while in the Conduit world, we announced several key partnerships and released new research. Let’s dive in.

New U.S. laws and regulatory action promote crypto growth

In the last month, U.S. lawmakers and regulatory agencies have made several moves that have the crypto industry excited. These include:

  • The GENIUS Act clearing the way for any firm to launch a stablecoin in the U.S., with clear rules and regulations – read our analysis here.
  • A White House report on the state of crypto and how the U.S. can lead in the space.
  • The SEC’s announcement of Project Crypto: An initiative to create fair rules for crypto, including a clarification that staking rewards and protocols are not securities offerings.
  • An executive order clearing the way for 401(k) plans to invest in crypto – that would be $12.5T in holdings eligible to buy crypto assets.

We’ll be providing more analysis in the coming days on the new onchain projects that may come out of this, but one thing is clear: The industry is excited.

Conduit partnerships

ZK fraud proofs available to Conduit chains via Boundless’ OP Kailua

OP Kailua is live now! Co-developed by Conduit, Boundless, and RISC Zero, OP Kailua brings ZK fraud proofs to OP Stack chains. OP Kailua keeps your chain on the optimistic model but uses ZK proofs for disputes, delivering faster finality, lower costs, and a cleaner path to decentralization. EigenDA-Kailua compatibility is coming soon too, which means rollups can get all the benefits of ZK without giving up cost-effective alt-DA.

In fact, OP Kailua is already live in production: BOB became the first chain with live ZK fraud proofs thanks to Kailua, and more are on the way.

Zama partnership breakdown

We put out a thread breaking down our partnership with Zama. The tl;dr is this: Zama is bringing privacy onchain with FHE. We power the Arbitrum rollup at the center of the Zama Protocol, and we’re making Zama’s confidential smart contracts available to all our rollups on Conduit Marketplace. Why does it matter? Because financial institutions and web2 legacy firms need privacy to move onchain – Zama is making it happen.
